From the launch of Forza Horizon 5, Microsoft said that 4.5 million players had launched the title, and that a million copies of the game had been sold on Steam even before release. Ten days later, the latest installment of the open world racing game license reached 10 million players, all media combined. Since then, part of the community expressed its anger at the many technical issues that affect multiplayer activities.
The developers quickly made various fixes, but there is still work to be done, and the studio continues to work to make the necessary improvements. That does not visibly affect the popularity of Forza Horizon 5, which has now passed a new milestone. According to Twitter user MauroNL, who speaks a screenshot in support, more than 14 million players have now launched the game.
Forza Horizon 5 has now surpassed 14 million players since launch on November 9.
In its first 24 hours after launch the game was played by over 4.5m players. After one week that number was already above 10m.
For reference, FH4 took nearly 9 months to reach 10m players. pic.twitter.com/GhkCSO5ywD

A very high number, the extent of which we can measure even better when we put it in front of Forza Horizon 4. Indeed, and after verification, it turns out that the previous opus needed nine months to reach 10 million players. However, the title was released in a context where Game Pass was not so prominent. Playground Games has not yet reacted to this new milestone, but one thing is certain: Forza Horizon 5 is a big success for Microsoft.
