After having had the opportunity to try it out, in advance, in multiplayer mode, playable in free-to-play, from Halo Infinite, players were able to quietly migrate to the single player campaign, during the official launch of the game, to finally see what the teams of 343 Industries had concocted with this new opus. For all the good that can be said about the game’s campaign mode, multiplayer often steals the show in the news, as evidenced by recent Christmas additions.
However, the campaign of Halo Infinite still has a say! Recently a handful of audio files were discovered but it was impossible to know where they actually came from.. The players then started looking for answers and combed the entire game with a fine-tooth comb, before YouTuber Gamecheat13 began to rummage through the game files in order to find the exact origin.
For those who have reached the end of the campaign Halo Infinite, the developers of 343 Industries took special care: giving them several cutscenes, visible before and after the game’s final credits. Nevertheless, it seems that the teams revised their plan at the last minute, thus putting aside a mysterious video that Gamecheat13 stumbled upon.
Until now, only the audio content had been able to be recovered by the players but difficult to represent concretely what was hidden behind these few lines of dialogue. The mystery is now solved since we finally know what contains this video deleted from the content of the game. While it was to be broadcast during the end credits, the video, available below, features Pelican pilot Fernando Esparza aka Echo 216, when the latter manages to capture a mysterious message!
Neither one nor two, he calls out to Master Chief who immediately joins him. To reinforce the secrecy of what he discovers, the camera does not take his eyes off them, so that we cannot really know what they have in front of them and what leaves them speechless at this point. . However, if one listens sufficiently, it is possible to discern the following message: “USNC Tag Detected, Designation: Friend” which suggests that the discovery is rather reassuring!
But then : why was this video removed from the final version of the game? Many avenues are possible: content of the cooperation mode, later additions or, quite simply an abandoned idea. Maybe this secret leads to another? We bet that the most involved players will be able to reveal to us the next mysteries of Halo Infinite !
