PC

Among the novelties presented by Acer during CES 2024, we find the Predator CG48, a computer screen with a diagonal of 48 inches, or 122 cm. His slab OLED displays a 4K definition and benefits from a refresh rate that goes up to 138 Hz. Also on the program, a contrast ratio of 135K: 1, support for HDR10, as well as 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Features of televisions, not to mention that the Predator CG48 also recovers the look with two legs spaced to ensure good stability to the whole.

AMD FreeSync Premium Pro is also part of the game, which allows to benefit from a response time that can go down to 0.1 ms in gray to gray. Nvidia G-Sync is absent subscribers. Connection side, we find HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, as well as four USB 3.2 ports and one USB Type-C port. Enough to be able to connect a computer, but also game consoles and, why not, an Internet Box … to watch television, on the off chance.

With an announced price of 2199 euros, the Acer Predator CG48 monitor has a good chance of motivating potential buyers to switch to a television of a similar diagonal, especially if the goal is, at least in part, to hook up game consoles to it. However, it must be admitted that if AMD FreeSync is available on some Samsung televisions, the prices of these models are also very high and that the presence of a DisplayPort is a plus. For those who are interested in the Acer screen, it will be necessary to wait until third quarter 2024 to get your hands on it.
