Developed by Warner Bros. Games, Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy will be set well in the wizarding world of “Who Lived”, but won’t feature the latter. Warner Bros. indeed decided to propose an open world within the castle and its surroundings, but in an adventure that will take place in the 19th century. There have been some pictures and a trailer, but we still haven’t seen the title running.
A time scheduled for 2024, the title has finally pushed back to 2024, developers not wishing to rush and give to the game “the necessary time”. The public then hoped to see a new trailer during The Game Awards in December, but nothing came of it. However, at the beginning of January, the insider AccountNGT, which indicated that Quantic Dream would be working on another title slated for release before Star Wars Eclipse, announced that the game could arrive sooner than expected.
Pre-orders have indeed recently opened, and the studio was recently looking for a producer for localization, a process generally launched at the end of production. The leaker indicated that SUMO Digital had arrived as reinforcements, and even getting the release date privately, but he didn’t reveal it.
Today these are contrary information which come to us from Eurogamer, which relays the remarks of the Comic Book site, which put in writing the words of Colin Moriarty, host of the Sacred Symbol podcast. The latter would have heard that the title will not be released this year, and that he “had problems”. Unfortunately, the host stopped there, and obviously did not want to go further for the moment.
Warner Bros. obviously did not no comment about this information, which should be taken with big tweezers before we officially know what’s going on. The last time there had been a “leak”, Warner Bros had spoken to announce that information about Hogwarts Legacy would be given in 2024. So hopefully the publisher do the same, in order to dispel any doubts.
