How about getting back a dose of gaming laptops? Lenovo is one of the last manufacturers to formalize its announcements, after the conferences held by AMD, Nvidia and Intel last night. On the program, two machines, each of which benefits from two variations highlighting the latest generation components.

The Legion 5 Pro Series range offers machines for 16 inch, whose IPS panel displays a WQHD + definition (2960 x 1600 pixels). The screen is in the format 16:10, allows to take advantage of a response time of 3 ms andan adaptive refresh rate of up to 240Hz. It displays brightness up to 500 nits and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. Dolby Vision support is provided, as is support for Nvidia G-Sync.

The Lenovo Legion 5i Pro embarks a 12th generation Intel Core processor, which can go up to i7-12700H. For its part, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro relies on a latest generation AMD Ryzen 6000 processor. The graphics card is a GeForce RTX 30 for laptops, again to choose from different models.

The rest of the characteristics are the same for both models: RAM DDR5 at 4800 MHz and up to 1 TB of storage space on PCIe Gen4 SSD. WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1 are part of the game, as is a 80Whr battery which takes advantage of a fast charging technology, allowing to regain 80% of autonomy in 30 minutes.

Designed for esports, the machines in the Legion 5 Pro Series are equipped witha thorough cooling system. Lenovo has revised its ventilation system, to offer a larger area allowing the heat to escape. A copper block is located under the CPU and acts as a heat sink, while the blades of the new fans are up to 40% thinner than those of the previous generation, ensuring similar efficiency while limiting noise pollution. All this makes it possible to obtain the system Lenovo Legion Coldfront 4.0, which is making its debut in this line of devices.

Finally, on the sound side, Lenovo has partnered with SteelSeries to offer Nahimic Audio, a professional-grade sound tuning solution that takes the form of a 10-band equalizer. Players can use it to make very precise settings in their games, and prioritize sounds over others. Computers in this range are also equipped with two stereo speakers of 2W each.

The marketing of these two models will take place in February and April 2024 : the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro will start at $ 1569.99, and the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro at $ 1,429.99.

The Lenovo Legion 5 Series line focuses on an experience in 15 inch, for increased portability. The 16: 9 IPS panel allows you to benefit from a WQHD definition of 2560 x 1440 pixels with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a coverage of 100% of the sRGB color gamut and a brightness that goes up to 300 nits. As for the previous range, we find the Dolby Vision, the Nvidia G-SYNC, two 2W stereo speakers, Nahimic Audio, as well as WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1. A 60Whr battery is present, compatible with Super Fast charging.

There too, there are two versions, The Lenovo Legion 5i being equipped with a 12th generation Intel Core i7-12700H processor and the Lenovo Legion 5 giving pride of place to processors AMD Ryzen 6000 latest generation. The graphics card is a Laptop Nvidia GeForce RTX 30, with the possibility of opting for an RTX 3060. Up to 32 GB of DDR5 4800 MHz RAM are available, and up to 1 TB of storage space on PCIe Gen4 SSD.
