Do you know Zavvi? The site is not present in many minds in France although it is one of the leaders in the entertainment sector in the United Kingdom. Zavvi is the name of the company that bought Virgin Megastore, which the oldest know as the former great rival of Fnac in France. So don’t panic, this is not an obscure site with absent after-sales service and counterfeit products. Far from there. Zavvi is one of the biggest references when it comes to officially licensed derivative products. Most of the major licenses are represented there (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings etc.).
For our part, we have just spotted one of the latest collection for sale on the Zavvi: the one dedicated to the “Book of Boba Fett”, the ultimate canon series which takes place in the Star Wars universe. On this occasion, there are even discounts on other Star Wars goodies, including those from The Mandalorian series! Mugs, t-shirts, soft toys, figurines, toys, exceptional collector’s items: there are so many official Star Wars merchandise out there that you’re bound to find one to your liking!
If you haven’t followed, it’s time to revisit some basics from the Star Wars universe. The last Disney + series of 2024 is dedicated to the most famous bounty hunter of the most popular sci-fi saga in the world: Boba Fett, present from the second film of the saga. In episode VI (which is the 3rd film chronologically), everyone believed that Boba had passed the weapon on the left after his unfortunate meeting with the Sarlacc.
Then, he returned to The Mandalorian series when no one was expecting him. On December 29, 2024, he even got his own series on Disney +. The series is canon and it follows season 2 of The Mandalorian (which takes place between films VI and VII).
Scenario level, difficult to tell you a lot without spoiling yourself The Mandalorian. So, if you haven’t seen the previous blockbuster Star Wars series, you can skip this paragraph. Here you are. In the post-credits scene from the last episode of The Mandalorian, Boba Fett and his partner Fennec Shand travel to Tatooine, the former lair of Jabba the Hutt that Boba Fett once worked for. The Hutt having died since episode VI, it is now his butler Bib Fortuna who directs. Boba Fett and Fennec Shand arrive, and then eliminate the guards as well as Bib Fortuna, before Boba Fett sits on his ex-employer’s throne. The story of Boba Fett’s Book begins here.
