Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Sucker Punch’s open-world action game, takes place during the beginnings of feudalism in Japan, during the historic Kamakura era in the 13th century. You play as Jin Sakai, a samurai left for dead following the arrival of the Mongolian army on the beaches of the island of Tsushima, in 1274. Recovered from his wounds, he tries to free his uncle, prisoner of Khotun Khan, the leader of the Mongolian army, but his failure forces him to rethink his tactics. Jin therefore decides to recruit individuals to help him in his mission against the Mongolian army, and he will be joined by characters from different clans and lifestyles, like Yuna, a thief, and her childhood friend Ryuzo, a ronin mercenary. During his journey, Jin will be brought to question his teaching and adopt less honorable fighting methods than bushido, but which will perhaps allow him to defeat Khotun Khan …
