The Epic Games Store intends to celebrate the holidays by spoiling players: from December 16 to 30, 2024, Epic will offer no less than 14 games, at the rate of one game per day. To get the ball rolling, Tim Sweeney’s firm is offering Shenmue III, Yū Suzuki’s action-adventure game. Direct sequel to Shenmue II almost 20 years after its release, it follows the adventures of Ryo Hazuki in his search for his father’s killer, Lan-Di. We find him in China, and it is joined by Shenhua Ling that he goes in search of her father, who seems to have disappeared.
The plot begins when Shenhua tells Ryo that Yuan, his father, has not returned from the career where he works as a stonemason.. They discover that the responsible men are looking for a particular artifact: the mirror of the Phoenix, which Ryo has in his possession. Gradually, this quest ends up taking Ryo in the footsteps of Lan-Di, the man who killed his father.
