After the box of Left 4 Dead, which only made the mixed reception ofEvolve, the developers seemed to want to move on but the call of their great love was stronger than the rest. On the sidelines of its release, Back 4 Blood could not hide the very large portion of DNA shared with the franchise from which it is inspired., so much so that we wondered in our columns if this new creation was more than just Left 4 Dead 3 who hid his name.
Still, the players received the game as it should when it was released. early access, even if they were scalded by a very particular detail: the lack of offline playability. However, the teams are currently continuing the game tracking process and have been working on an update, already available, which should put a smile on unhappy players !
Last June, asked by a player on the possibility of playing or not at Back 4 Blood while being offline, the studio responded in the negative. Nevertheless, However, the developers did not close the door to the introduction of this feature and warned that they were hard at work to find a way to implement it within the game.
Two months later, it seems that Turtle Rock has found the solution since indeed December update introduces offline single player companion mode. Even better, a progression system is also in place to allow players to transfer progression to and from online campaign mode. This more than welcome novelty allows, at the same time, to gain supply points, achievements and other unlockable elements.
Besides this much requested function, Christmas period requires, Turtle Rock did not come with this only gift under his arms. The recent update promises the arrival of new supply chains limited in time: the “itinerant merchants”. The opportunity to unlock new elements, but not only!
In the long list of cosmetic novelties, we find, among others, seasonal character skins, weapon skins, emblems, sprays, Fort Hope decorations and many more surprises. The game also expands with the introduction of new maps, a training area for Infested, and allows for some adjustments and balances for the Recruit, Veteran and Nightmare difficulty levels.
