If most keyboards for players are mechanical, here we have a rather daring choice of the brand which has preferred to start with a hybrid meca-membrane technology combining the advantages of membrane keys and mechanical switches. The principle is to have the best of both worlds. The keystrokes thus have the sound feedback of a mechanical switch and the pleasant feeling of a “conventional” keyboard. Razer aims here to create a strike that is as satisfying as it is precise. In the end, we have a classic membrane keyboard with the sound feeling of a mechanic.
But suddenly, since the sound “click” is not directly linked to the actuation point of the key, the auditory information is sometimes not in accordance with reality. The keystroke may not have been taken into account despite the “click”. If you are used to membrane keyboards, you will have no problem, but it will take time to adapt for anyone who has been rocked close to a mechanical keyboard like me.
If the chassis is plastic, we are still entitled to the beautiful Razer finishes, improving its aesthetics. It has an ergonomic wrist rest in soft imitation leather, giving you a little more comfort during your gaming sessions. Finally, the keys are fully programmable which is a significant plus.
