It was at the turn of a stealthy tweet that the group Leaky Pandy shared a news that should delight all fans of the franchise. The next Mario Kart could be announced this year and it would be called Mario Kart 10 – with the subtitle Crossroads. Some may joke on the fact that there is, to date, no Mario Kart 9, but it is possible that Nintendo considers the mobile episode or the Home Circuit as this famous ninth installment.

According to the information gathered by those concerned, Mario Kart 10 should be based on the same bases as Mario Kart 8, but would benefit from a much larger cast. Nintendo would thus intend to offer characters from series outside Mario Kart and the subtitle Crossroads (The Crossroads) suggests that we could, perhaps, see characters from Super Smash Bros. Who knows, maybe in a few months, we will discover a Solid Snake, a Sonic or even a Cloud sintering, tire against tire, with Mario and all his clique.
As usual, tweezers are required and we will have to wait to find out more in a future Nintendo Direct. Among the other titles announced, difficult to remain unmoved when you see the presence of a Xenoblade, a Pikmin or even a Rogue Squadron IV. There’s even a Klonoa and a Pokken Tournament 2 that appears in the second tweet!
