From tomorrow the CES will take place (Consumer Electronic Show), annual meeting for all electronic equipment enthusiasts. New ranges of products are revealed, whether by manufacturers of TVs, smartphones or processors. It is also on this occasion that Intel should detail its Intel Arc line, a new generation of graphics processors providing the technology. Xe Super Sampling (XeSS): comparable to DLSS from Nvidia, it is based on artificial intelligence to produce an image quality higher than the native resolution with a limited number of pixels and therefore with the highest possible frame rate.
A technology that therefore applies well to gaming, the first compatible titles of which seem to have already been revealed, such as a Director’s Cut version of Death Stranding on PC. It is Videocardz which indicates to have received the press release from Intel by an anonymous source, mentioning a compatibility with the game of Hideo Kojima:
We are very happy to announce our partnership with Intel for Death Stranding Director’s Cut on PC. Death Stranding has been an extremely popular game with PC gamers, and we can’t wait to see how XeSS technology will enhance their experience – Neid Rally, President of 505 Games.

If the press release turns out to be true, then this would be the fourth outing for Death Stranding. Originally released in November 2019 on PS4, it was then ported to PC in July 2024. A port that seems to be attractive since a Director’s Cut version of the game is announced a year later, and appears on PlayStation 5 on September 24, 2024. To then appear on PC? While it is necessary to be careful with such information, it will not take long to make sure: the Consumer Electronic Show takes place over three days, from Wednesday 05 January to Saturday 08 January.
Anyway, and if it’s not regarding Death Stranding, we should hear from Hideo Kojima within the year. In the columns of Famitsu, the cult Japanese magazine dedicated to video games, he said he was preparing two titles: one “big game“while the other represented a”real challenge“.
