You know that cooking is a fundamental component in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but did you know that some ingredients have original properties that go far beyond simple recipes? In this case, the famous peppers, used from the start of the game to help Link warm up in low temperatures, can find a whole other use, which will greatly facilitate the aerial exploration of the famous Nintendo title.
As crazy as it sounds, the chili peppers will give you an incredible boost to rise higher than you expected in the awe-inspiring open world of Zelda Breath of the Wild. To use this technique, it is not particularly complicated, you must have in your inventory three essential elements.
First of all, of course, you will need peppers (they are quite easily found on the Prélude plateau, in the woods on the heights west of the Temple of Time, or near the Gerudo canyon relay), but also arrows of fire (you can buy some in the Kakariko village, see “In search of Impa”); Finally, you must have unlocked the power of the Rage of Revali, which you get by defeating the divine creature Vah’Medoh. Then, place yourself in an area where you can trigger this power that will propel you into the air, after equipping your bow with the default fire arrows, then selecting multiple chili peppers (you can hold up to 5 in Link’s hands), as if you were about to cook them.
Once out of the inventory, drop the peppers at your feet, then activate Revali’s rage. This will have the effect of propelling you into the air, but also the famous peppers that will float in the void! Once you get to the top of your climb, let yourself quickly fall back to the level of the peppers, then equip the bow to switch to slow-motion aim (since you are floating), which will be ideal for aiming at the chili peppers while you fall. Aim at a chili pepper and shoot a fire arrow at it: this will generate a new updraft, over the already existing one! It will thus propel you more, as well as the peppers still unburned by your arrows: you can therefore repeat the operation several times until you have no more peppers available, and reach an insane height!
The trick was communicated by the user of Reddit tetr4_hc who shared a rather simple and clear clip, explaining in detail the method to follow:
It’s a safe bet that such a trick will be of great use to you to reach very high heights that Revali’s Rage usually cannot reach on its own. In addition, this trick is obviously not based on a glitch but rather on umpteenth “coherent” exploitation of the game engine of Zelda Breath of the Wild, so why deprive yourself of it?
