Currently at Crucial there are 2 generations and several models of NVMe SSDs that coexist. If the P2 is the entry level of Gen 3 with speeds of the order of 2400 MB / s in reading, the P5 is rather at the very top of the basket for Gen 3 with 3400 MB / s read and 3000 MB / s write. Where it gets complicated is that the P5 Plus is a Gen 4 with much higher speeds of 6600 MB / s in reading and 5000 MB / s in writing. They could still have found him another name to avoid confusion …
Anyway, the P5 is an excellent NVMe SSD from Gen 3, ideal for boosting a PC config and which we currently find at 184.99 € instead of 293.99 € while the P5 Plus is from Gen 4, ideal for the PS5 in particular but which costs much more, since it is negotiated at 299.99 € (instead of 371.99 € all the same).
