Developed by the small studio of Aeternum, Aeterna Noctis is a 2D metroidvania with hand-drawn graphic elements made of combat and platform phases. The game requires you to play as the Dark King who wishes to regain his powers of yesteryear through 16 interconnected areas. The developers assure that the difficulty is raised but that the reactivity of the handling will allow to get out of the most perilous situations. The level design seems to have been studied to fit the many movements of the hero and should offer several solutions to a problem. It is almost time to know if the fight against Chaos, the supreme Divinity of the world of Aeterna, is worth living.

We’re not stopping the Five Nights at Freddy series anymore! The ninth episode of the horrific saga, Security Breach still allows you to have fun with security cameras but also – and this is a novelty for the franchise – to roam freely through the mall. It is therefore possible to hide to let the danger pass and to flee when a monster detects us. In the skin of Gregory, it will therefore be necessary to survive the many animatronics of the place. A single watchword: adapt or perish.

The parents of SteamWorld are preparing to launch their first 3D project with The Gunk. At first glance, this is a fairly classic action / adventure game that takes place on an alien planet. Its originality is based on the existence of “Gunk”, a harmful material which covers the famous planet Beck. The Gunk is a narrative exploration game where Rani must remove the funny stuff in order to make the trapped ecosystem flourish. Several biomes are on the program (canyon, caves, jungle, etc.) as well as ruins of an ancient civilization to discover. The Gunk will be available on Game Pass from the first day of its availability.

Can we do more “indie” at heart than this Rogue Invader? Realize: this is a Roguelite with 1-bit graphics (therefore monochrome), where the player leads soldiers who have come to destroy an alien presence. In the program ? Action, lingering damage, gear, loads of weapons to customize / upgrade, and of course hundreds of aliens to slaughter. On the different videos broadcast, we can see various backgrounds, detailed explosions, a lot of destruction effects, and especially aliens that look a lot like Alien’s famous Xenomorphs. It is even possible to admire a giant sand worm. Are we holding the GOTY here?
When Happy Tree Friends meet the small animals of the South Park forest. The Crackpet Show features totally siphoned mutant animals who have only one goal: to explode their opponents in order to win a reality TV show. Do you prefer to play as the psychopathic rooster, the aggressive shark or the carnivorous rabbit? The game takes the form of a roguelite playable up to four players. To win, you just need to collect the best bonuses, find the most powerful weapons and let your artist’s soul speak by making bullets whistle through the bodies of your enemies. Thanks to the popularity gleaned, it will be possible to improve your equipment, which will necessarily be useful in eliminating the bosses of the game.
In this game developed by EpiXR, the player must conduct an investigation by twirling around the rooms of a house. In the skin of a sort of ghost, he must collect pieces of memory in order to advance the narration. This funny and still quite mysterious project takes place in the moments of Christmas, which could perhaps push you to give it a chance during this holiday season of the end of the year.
Endowed with an artistic direction not unlike that of Gris, Aspire: Ina’s Tale asks the player to pull Ina out of the tower inside which she is locked. Platform game at heart, the title asks to use the good movements of the heroine to progress. During her journey, Ina will meet different protagonists and cross more or less wonderful places. The developers ensure that each region has its own particularities to take into account. This could be a nice little surprise at the end of the year.
