Distributed by Square Enix but developed by Team Ninja, Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a kind of spin-off of the very first episode of the saga which tells the story and the journey of Jack, Ash and Jed, three young adventurers who will seek to get rid of the Chaos demon.
Team Ninja obliges, Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, is therefore an Action-RPG which takes again in broad outline what one could see on Nioh for example, of the same creators. This will allow Square Enix in turn to have its Souls-like in its skirmish, a style very popular these days.
Announced, or rather confirmed during E3 2023, the first in a fully digital version, Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be released on March 18, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series from € 66.90.
We’re not going to lie to each other, when Square Enix started teasing the release of a new game stamped Final Fantasy, everyone believed and hoped to see Final Fantasy XVI arrive. As much to say to you that when it is Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin which was shown, the incomprehension was total and the deep disappointment.
A feeling that was not going to leave us until we could get our hands on a first preview of around 1h30 which rather reassured us then a second at the beginning of December which would eventually convince us. Yes, this Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin has something and is not devoid of interest.
So it will certainly not be a technological showcase for the PS5 or the Xbox Series, once again the fault of a cross-gen game that requires so many compromises. A little over a year after the release of New Gen consoles, we are beginning to find the time to have more real games exclusively developed for current machines …
Either way, if you’re passionate about the Final Fantasy universe and Souls-like doesn’t put you off, Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be released on March 18, 2023 and is available for pre-order.
